I have never contended you cannot record with a laptop, my point is it's
going to be quite inconvenient, it will limit where and how you record
far more than a regular field recorder. So go right ahead and try it, I
think the problems will become obvious.
And I do have a laptop, one with a sound input on par with that of a
walkman MD. It even does stereo. I have tried portable recording with it
and gave that up quickly. And I was recording from right near my car.
And went out and bought my first MD...
Rich, what are you using to record in Vera Cruz.
