The model of tie tac mic is not specific. I suggest going with sony
because their tie tac mics will power from the MD. I've used tie tacs
from shure, audio technica, sony. It pays to check the specs for
frequency response, the Sony is 50-15,000 hz. Some tie tacs are much
more limited. The current most similar model to the older ECM-T140 is
the ECM-T145. But, any small omni that will fit can do it. You can
probably find a mic on Ebay that will do fine.
