One tip that might help with a web search for the fabrics is including "short roll" in your criteria; often you can find end of roll quantities at reduced prices. Another option for stiffening a cloth/resin dish is to lay out a web on the back with the polyethylene foam rope sold at hardware stores, and epoxying over them with fiberglass or carbon fiber tape. A solid foam backing that would accept the resin would be much more robust however. Walt, if you find a source for the foam, please post. Does that foam accept epoxy? Brian Boldt / Milwaukee |
