I am a real amatuer at this.  Phantom Power is?  A power supply to 
power the mike remotely, thus providing the power to drive the audio 
signal?

I guess I need a MICROPHONES FOR DUMMIES book. I know all about how 
the signal gets processed after the acquistion end.  I just do not 
know acoustic acquisition science 9or the practical engineering of it 
all) very well.

I assume that PZM means Piezoelectric Microphone?
