I’ve glimpsed ravens carrying sticks in the local area during the past four weeks. In my opinion this is normal, given place and time of year.

 

On two occasions over the past week a Magpie-lark has attacked the side windows of my car as I’ve pulled into the carpark at Holt Playing Fields, but I don’t know if this indicates early breeding activity for the species.
