Perhaps.  Are the remoter corners of the COG website any more likely to be consulted than the archive?  Basic and repeated  questions to the whole readership can be irritating.  In many years on this chatline the number of follow-up questions directed to me  by information-seeking ‘newcomers’ can be counted on fingers and toes.

Perhaps putting the map on the COG website, along with others mentioned recently (i.e. Norgrove Park), may alleviate the need to extend this kind of warm welcome that is synonymous with internet forums/chatlines these days (esp for newcomers).

Cheers

See attachment which - in various forms -  has been widely used on this chatline.

As a general point, and at the risk of repeating the words of others, to save time in the future it may be useful for newer members of the list to search the archive http://bioacoustics.cse.unsw.edu.au/archives/html/canberrabirds/ for information about a term which appears to be in general use amongst the longer standing members of the group.

Pardon my ignorance but where is "finch central"?
