Around midday on Saturday I bumped into Will at the gardens and he told me about the owl but when he showed me the location the owl was already gone, presumably due to harrassment by the currawongs.

Robyn and I went to the gardens on Sunday to search for the owl in the rainforest gully as well as all previously observed roosting locations (assuming it may be the same owl as two years ago). Our search was fruitless and Will had been similarly unsuccessful in relocating it.

Definitely worth keeping it in mind when visiting ANBG.

Regards,
Leo.
