For what it is worth, I too noticed one Satin Bowerbird fussing about the Powerful Owl (mobbing it) that was in the ANBG 2 years ago, on I think 1 of the 3 times I saw it there.

I spent a bit over an hour effectively following Leo's footsteps this morning.  I was not able to see an Owl anywhere.

However on my second walk down the ranforest gully i was a few metres below the spot where Wiill saw the bird when my attention was drawn to a flock (about 6) of green Satin Bowerbirds (SBBs) calling and dodging back and forth in some very dense canopy vegetation.  I spent about 10 minutes trying unsuccesfully to see what (if anything) was going on.  It is possible/probable that this was just SBBs being SBBs but on speaking with Anthony Overs he mentioned that SBBs were involved in the mobbing when he first saw the bird 2 years ago.

If anyone wants to have another try, my spot was on the main path about 20m past (coming from the entrance) a sign about Eucryphia (Pinkwood) and just before a cross path.
