I had a walk to 'Finch Central' in late May - the day before the Sunday COG walk there - and flushed 3 Quail from the path east of the 'gate' sign on the attached map.

As a general point, and at the risk of repeating the words of others, to save time in the future it may be useful for newer members of the list to search the archive http://bioacoustics.cse.unsw.edu.au/archives/html/canberrabirds/ for information about a term which appears to be in general use amongst the longer standing members of the group.
