Is the final sentence a 'core' promise or a 'pacify' promise. When
the willows were killed and removed along Ginninderra Creek below
Dunlop there was never any replacement and bids by the local
environment volunteers to plant appropriate native vegetation have
been denied with vague excuses about the need to preserve the
grazing and the golden sun moth.

Hi,
I have received an email from the NCA indicating that they intend to
clear the willow for 200m downstream from the Scrivener Dam,
starting March 2009. Could anyone who may know the birds of that
area let me know of any potential problems. For instance are there
any cormorant species nesting in the area? We have been advised
that the willows will be replaced with appropriate vegetation.
Many thanks
Chris
