I strongly endorse Bruce's comments -  in fact I see it as a voice of sanity.
 
How could COG seriously object to removal of willows in a key part of the Molonglo/Murrumbidgee river systems?
 
Perhaps it could be suggested that the Willows be removed at non-breeding season?.
