There is good news and there is bad news.  The good news is that the bat has vanished from the place it was hanging so has apparently suffered no ill effects from the event!  The bad news is that have not been able to get a photo of its face. 

However, having had the options suggested to me, looking at a National Photographic Index book on mammals, size and colour (rather dark, whereas the Lesser is described as light on top) support your suggestion of Gould's.
