Seems curious to suspect a Koel for a dead baby
wattlebird. I had a Pied Currawong chick almost ready to fledge, die in the nest
in my yard last year and decay hanging from the nest. When it all fell down the
cause was clearly that its foot was tangled in some string or other rubbish that
the parents had incorporated in the nest.
