I too agree with Pete Cowper and m("lisp.com.au","origma");">Carol
Probets about the possibility or even likelihood of
it being a Blackbird. Over several years, I have had Blackbirds (or at least
one) here in Kambah, giving a call that has occasionally had me thinking it was
a phone. Although I agree that the normal call of a Red-capped Robin could also
be described as like a high frequency suppressed phone ring.
