By no means a great photograph but have been intrigued since December last
year when I snapped a Pelican flying away from me at Kellys Swamp. Wasn't
till a while later when pouring over pics that I realised this Pelican's
eyes may have indeed been bigger than its belly can!
Any idea of the mystery object that it is carrying?.....and if so....why?

Well, I've had suggestions of Noisy Miner, Crested Pigeon and pigeon for my
'possible Peregrine' photo. Interesting! I'm certainly not claiming a
Peregrine and, in retrospect, I think I rather favour the feral pigeon
possibility. If anyone wants to see the full size photo (2.19MB), I can
send it to you - still a small and out of focus picture but at least you
can
enlarge it better on your screen.

Frank
