OK birdo's of Canberra, are we going to protest against motorboats on the lake, even a trial? All I've heard on the media is a single rather ambivalent statement about waiting to see if there are any possible effects on bird life. Are the noise levels, frequency of disturbance, backwash and oil pollution negligible for the birds? Isn't the east basin closest to Jerrabombera wetlands, Canberra's designated bird area?
