Hi all,
I certainly became a birder because of a combination of having a grandmother
who was a birder and because she fed many of her local birds. I have very
fond memories of bright blue Superb Fairy Wrens tapping on her window to
remind her she hadn't fed them today, King Parrots and Double-barred Finches
on her lawn and Silvereyes eating this morning's porridge leftovers.
Also, thinking about percentages, what percentage of the very low number of
people living in or travelling through potential Night Parrot habitat would
be familiar with birds and travelling at the right time of day? I'd say at
any one time there's probably only a handful of people capable of
identifying a Night Parrot who are in a position to even potentially see
one.
