Waterview Heights is just outside Grafton and the Coldstream wetlands more or less south-east of Ulmarra, both in the Clarence Valley, Northern Rivers NSW.

You may be heartened to hear that Alan Morris, in his list of Magpie Goose breeding records he provided me, included a trio with 7 young on the Wargan Creek Drainage Ponds at Griffith on 13 September 1989. Not Victoria but not that far away as the goose flies.
