Hello,

I'd just like to thank everyone who replied via the list and also by private email to my bower bird question. I have received very good advice from you all so have decided to stop feeding the bower bird, wait until after summer to clean up as the bower bird would have had his breeding season by then, to only clear a small section
at a time by hand so that the cleared area has a chance to regenerate.

Yes, some are you are correct I did think that the bower was the nest also. It's only a very small area that I need to clean up so I think I should be ok but I am just overly paranoid about disturbing their environment.

Could someone recommend some good native plants that I could plant to attract the birds into the garden?

Kind Regards,
Rachel O'Neill.
