I believe this was mentioned before, but it is worth repeating now that November is here. The Australian Museum is carrying out a survey of birds in gardens in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong. They are asking people to record birds on any 7 days in November and are particularly interested in a list of common (or formerly common) garden birds.

Obviously the more people who participate the more valuable the results are.
