Wonderful! I will have to see if it is available here in the States. I am
fortunate enough to have two 19th C. J.W. Lewin prints, one of which hangs in
our dining room and I enjoy every day.

And I've just bought a copy too. I am delighted with it It is a lovely
ook, taking one back to the early days of birding in Australia. And
rom his pictures it is obvious that Lewin was a first-class observer of
eal live birds, - just look at his Shrike-Tit - and of insects as well.
had no idea that the specific name of the Cup-moth *vulnerans* went
ack so far. Obviously someone found out the hard way about its stinging
apacities in its caterpillar form (I always called this a "Chinese
unk" in Melbourne but it used to be a "Bondi Tram" in Sydney, but last
eek a young boy told me it was a "Bulldozer".)

Ahhh....well..........
