A superb day of birding firstly at 8 am locating 6 Bourkes parrots sitting in a tree 2 km from homestead along the house circuit then at 10am we were ecstatic to see the GF sitting alone in a dead tree approx 100 meters from our car. With the morning sun shining behind us we had the perfect photo conditions
Before the day was over we had also seen 4 Halls babblers and various other birds of note!
What a great place to come and camp and bird at. BOWRA station

Topknot Pigeon
Bongaree, Bribie Island
A flock of about 30 birds landed on the neighbour's palm trees which have ripe fruit at present. They began to feed before the resident Magpie chased them away. To see these on Bribie is a rare occurrence, we believe.
