Sun 4 Sep Buff-banded Rail Umbagong District Park, Latham
A single Buff-banded Rail in Ginninderra Creek. It was near where the large water (?) pipe passes over the creek to east of Florey Drive. It was foraging on the Latham side of the creek. W

Two birds flew over Coulter Drive near Lachlan Street around midday. They were heading from East to West.

an apparently immature Grey Butcherbird was calling and moving about 20 metres up a gum on Araba St Aranda around 8:30 am

Tue 30 Aug Barn Owl Coppins Crossing Rd
2-3 birds seen along roadside between William Hovell Drive and river crossing around 9pm.

Rose Robin, Golden Whistler Warks Rd, Brindabella
Female Rose Robin & at least 6 Golden Whistlers, both sexes, seen along Warks Rd this morning. Other birds of interest included Fan-tailed Cuckoo & a pair of Peregrine Falcons.

Red-capped Robin Campbell Park
Red-capped Robin (1) female observed along the eastern boundary fence this morning. Other notable highlights included Black-shouldered Kite (1) on nest, Speckled Warbler (10) and Jacky Winter (4). Some returning migrants too with Western Gerygone (2), Noisy Friarbirds and a female Rufous Whistler (1).

Barn Owl sitting on fence post about 100m from intersection with William Hovell Drive at 7.20pm.

Peaceful Dove Jamison Oval, Macquarie
This afternoon at 16:45 I heard Peaceful Dove calling on the shopping centre side of Jamison Oval. I went to investigate and flushed 2 birds from the trees along Halloran Close. They flew into the trees along Bowman Street.

2 Barn Owls seen 9 pm on adjacent fence posts between Copping Crossing and William Hovel Dr. Also 1 Wombat seen.

Migrants are returning to Newline with Dusky Woodswallow (10) and a single Noisy Friarbird. On an otherwise quiet morning, birds of note included Common Bronzewing (2), Speckled Warbler (2) and Southern Whiteface (2)
