Flame Robin (Petroica phoenicea) (1) A female Flame Robin was seen in the Coles
Crossing area of Cox's Scrub CP by M. Tiller & C. Thomas. It was found in the
narrow corridor between the Finniss River & adjoining pasture land to the south.

Location: Large dam on Jones Road, Hahndorf, between Balhannah Road and Pains
Road.
Blue-billed Duck (Oxyura australis) (2) Two female and/or winter plumaged male.
Hardhead (Aythya australis) (80) Several large groups. Some quite close to road.
Eurasian Coot (Fulica atra) (50)
Australian Shelduck (Tadorna tadornoides) (2) One male, one female.
Australasian Grebe (Tachybaptus novaehollandiae) (20)
Black Swan (Cygnus atratus) (2)
Australian Wood Duck (Chenonetta jubata) (50)
Pacific Black Duck (Anas superciliosa) (15)
Grey Teal (Anas gracilis) (4)
This is the more productive of two dams on Jones Road. although the second dam,
closer to Balhannah, is also worth checking. Both dams have shallow, grassy
shorelines that often attract Black-fronted Dotterel, White-faced Heron and
Masked Lapwing.
