Rose Robin (Petroica rosea) (1) Male seen on Crossing Rd, Mylor during the YTBC
survey on Saturday. My first sighting of this species so my confidence in
identification is not 100%. Was definitely not a Scarlet or Red-capped Robin
and had full male colour, not the drab, more subdued tones of females of the
species. I would like confirmation of the sighting if it is at all possible.
Was in the same area again on the Sunday but he didn't show up.

south of Milang. A single bird with cows in small paddock opposite 'Kindaruar
lagoon'.

Mistletoebird (Dicaeum hirundinaceum) (1) A brilliant-coloured male was
foraging in a small clump of mistletoe growing on a leafless deciduous tree on
the roadside, just north of St Peter's College. There were several clumps of
mistletoe, so maybe there is a resident group of mistletoebirds.

Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus funereus) (50+) Large flock
flying majestically east over Princes Hwy, 500m south of town. According to
locals this flock 'hangs' around the district for considerable periods of time.
Buff-banded Rail (Gallirallus philippensis) (1) Fringe of Salt Creek - sculking
on edge of swampy veg.

Location: Costless Plants, OG Road, Kelmzig
Barbary Dove (Streptopelia roseogrisea) (7) According to the staff a group of
barbary doves has been in this location for about 4 years, and they are being
encouraged to stay, with food. This afternoon they were perched in a tree and
also in hanging baskets full of plants.
