Location: Bool Lagoon Naracoorte
Flame Robin (Petroica phoenicea) (2) Male and Female birds on fence posts just
as I drove into the reserve.
Magpie Goose (Anseranas semipalmata) (60+) Birds were in the dense vegitation
about 250mts out from the first lookout. Also observed a few in Hacks Lagoon.
Lots of water with lots of waterbirds. Well worth a visit if in the area.

Location: Reserve, Education Rd, Chandlers Hill 5159
Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoo (Calyptorhynchus funereus) (200) Flock of 200 +
birds flying up to top of council reserve from west to east. This flock appears
to be a gathering of the smaller flocks that are around Woodcroft, Reynella and
Happy Valley during daytime, have counted over 300 birds in past winters.

Hooded Plover (Thinornis rubricollis) (4) Two adult pairs feeding along the
tide line: one pair just west of the creek; the other much further west towards
the Parsons Beach car park.
White-bellied Sea-Eagle (Haliaeetus leucogaster) (1) At least one adult soaring
effortlessly over the cliffs east of Newland Head at around 15:30.
