Black-fronted Dotterel (14) - larger than usual number

Sat 4 Jun Australian Hobby Macquarie Oval
Australian Hobby (1) - I don't often see this species in winter in Canberra, although I believe it is not unusual for birds to over-winter.

Fri 3 Jun White-bellied Cuckoo-shrike Hackett oval
Dark form, in eucalypts along Madigan St, Hackett. Constantly harassed by noisy miners.

Thu 2 Jun Restless Flycatcher SW Narrabundah Hill area
Pair observed for several minutes hovering and landing in Eucalypts

Tue 31 May Southern Boobook Remnant orchard, 15 Blackall Street, Barton.
Was being harassed by a Grey Butcherbird at about 3.00 pm.

Mon 30 May Royal Spoonbill West Belconnen Pond, ACT
A lone bird (looking like it was not happy in the wind).

Common Bronzwing Nicholls, ACT
One male Common Bronzwing on a driveway in middle of the suburb. Normally see Crested Pigeons and occasional Spotted Dove in same area.

Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo Molongolo River near Weston Creek
About 60 plus Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoos along Molongo River near Tuggeranong Parkway this morning. They were flying from the pines south of the zoo towards Coppins. All got a bit upset when they flew over a low circling Little Eagle, who took no notice. Also about 30 Double-barred Finches on the side of the bike path. In two flocks mixed in with Red-brows and SFW.

Fri 27 May Southern Whiteface Narrabundah Hill, Duffy
Have seen pairs feeding on ground amongst Superb Fairy Wrens over the last week. Haven't noticed them here before.

Superb Parrots AIS, Bruce, ACT
Saw three Superb Parrots, one male and two females at about 4.30 pm at the AIS. They were flying through the car park about 4m off the ground.
