True - but then http://pages.cthome.net/rwinkler/survey.htm indicates that
about 1 in 6 US citizens are birders (much higher than the UK %age) and of
course many European countries have good numbers of birders. And given that
not all UK birders would belong to the RSPB (and that the definition of a
border is debatable) I reckon the numbers are as good as any you are likely
to get short of running a survey of departing passengers!
