Steve,
We were there January 2-3 this year. We stayed at the walkers' hut. You have to
bring your own food and water and sleeping bag.
Have fun!
Here the highlights:
at least 12 OBPs (best time is morning and evening, but you can see them all
day)
at least 4 Ground Parrots (great looks at a perched one, but more easily heard
at dusk)
Green Rosella
Southern Emu-Wren
Striated Fieldwren
Yellow-throated Honeyeater
Dusky Robin
Olive Whistler
Beautiful Firetail

Hello All,
We are planning a trip to Melaleuca (no not walking, but flying in and
out). I was wondering if anyone has done this before, and if so could
you offer some advice/information. Are there any facilities there? Are
orange bellied parrots really seen at the bird feeder every morning? etc
etc. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
