Hi Steve, et al
We have done the 'fly-in/fly-out', in Jan a few years ago.
Facilities at the airstrip are basic, but quite good. If you go with
PAr Avion, and have the finances, you can make quite a day of it,
with a trip on Bathurst Harbour, and lunch provided.
Can't say whether you'll be SURE of seeing the parrots at the bird
feeder/observation room (we've only been once), but we saw them
within minutes of going there and saw 3 or 4 different birds, with
one coming back quite a number of times. That was mid-season, though
they should still be around.
Great little bird!

Hello All,
We are planning a trip to Melaleuca (no not walking, but flying in and
out). I was wondering if anyone has done this before, and if so could
you offer some advice/information. Are there any facilities there? Are
orange bellied parrots really seen at the bird feeder every
morning? etc
etc. Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
