There was a story last night on TV regarding GM Canola. No long-term feeding
studies have been
undertaken at all. An independent feeding study on pregnant rats, half the rats
died and the young
had malformed of greatly reduced reproductive organs (anyone correct me if my
memory is
incorrect). The scientist pushing for GM canola was the head of Plant research
at CSIRO and
became the chief scientist for John Howard. e.g. vested interests. I think we
all should all be
greatly concerned about the effect of GM crops on birds.
