End of ban on genetically modified canola

G'day all,
               it seems that the ban on the growing of pesticide resistant 
canola is coming to an end. This to me seem like a crazy idea as we already 
have enough weed problems without introducing a pesticide resistant one. 
Especially as on my last trip to western NSW I was surprised to see as a lot 
of what appeared to be Canola growing as a weed along the road side.
