Hi all,

Chris Sanderson has just rung me to say that the area around Gama has just had
over 3 inches of rain, and that the nearby 4000 ha Lascelles - Wathe FFR fire
is under control. At Gama he saw up to 3 Black Honeyeater (including one male)
and 15 White-fronted Honeyeater near the corner of Gama Sea Lake Rd & Sunraysia
Hwy.

I've also noticed (via the excellent DSE Fire Emergency site mentioned by
Martin below) that the 15000 ha Little Desert-Salt Lake Track fire is under
control.

Cheers,

Tim Dolby

Bill, some information for you on the Wathe fire situation.

The fire at Lascelles - Wathe area of public land has burnt 4 000 hectares
including 160 ha of private land. I understand that much of the Wathe
Flora and Fauna Reserve has been burnt.

Updates and further details on the fire situation at this location can be
found on the following Department of Sustainability & Environment web
site:

cheers, Martin
