"And what about Kolariwikwik for wading birds?"This raises the issue of taxonomy. My Wik cousins knew of Sarus Cranes many deccades ago and even though they applied a different name for them to the general crane name, they were thoughtof as males and Brolgas as females. Two very different mollucs (to my western viewpoint) shared a name because they were collected, cooked and eaten in the same manner. Meanwhile a third species very closely related to one of the former had a different name as it was starvation food only. Regards.
