I have seen a active Mallee Fowl nest in Wyperfield N.P.
Didn't see a Mallee Fowl, but there was a Grey Currawong handing about, I
suspect, eady to harvest any Malle Fowl chick which had the misfortune to did
it's self out and not immediately get to cover.

Similar thing happened to a welcome swallow fledgling that I
inadvertently disturbed in my garage - it flew out the door, amazed
at the wonder of life and wide open spaces - and was immediately
gobbled by a passing Pied Currawong!
