Another question: one of the things I noticed in the few I've tested so
far is the depth of field. I tested a few cheapies, then tested one of
the Bushnell Birding Series binoculars. The difference in ease of
focusing was striking, and I was impressed by, well, the depth of field.
I assume this is even better in more expensive ones, but I've never seen
depth of field listed in any specifications. That leaves me testing
them all, and depth of field is not an easy thing to test.
Does anyone know where one could find those sorts of specs?
http://betterviewdesired.com seems to be a wealth of information, but is
sadly out of date (no models reviewed for 5 years). If only it was up
to date, I probably wouldn't be asking questions here.
