Deaths of White-faced Herons

There are TV programs about fishing and several magazines available in the 
newsagents. I don't follow them as I'm not that interested in fishing. Are 
people with the data on this problem (to birds and other fauna) actively 
pressing these media outlets to promulgate education on this issue? So as to 
hopefully reduce the incidence.
