Not sure why this bounced, but here is the message from Tracey: Hi birders, There was a Spotted Pardalote at my place this morning, very confiding and was perched only a couple of feet from me, so I saw it very clearly. It appeared to be a male, but I was a bit confused asthe spots on it’s crown were clearly yellow, while Slater’s tells me that the male has white crown spots. The tail and throat were yellow, while the guide says that the female has a whitish throat. I don’t have a camera so I can’t post a picture. Can anyone help me out as to it’s gender?
