Low-roosting frogmouths

Hi all
 
We have on our place in the Noosa hinterland a Tawny frogmouth that seems to prefer to roost low i.e. under one metre.  In some of its roosts, its camouflage doesn't seem effective at all.
 
How unusual is this bird for its species?
