G'day all, I have 3 times seen Frogmouths roosting/sitting on the ground (once in the middle of a fairway at our golf course) BUT they all died shortly afterwards ! !Perhaps, if they are feeling off-colour, they get close to the ground to avoid the hurt of a fall ?
