By direct control I mean things like shooting, removing eggs from nests, and educating people to close potential nesting holes in their guttering etc. Like I said, more effective, but impractical in urban areas. And it is sad to be talking about killing such beautiful birds, but having seen firsthand the impacts they have on our native parrots, I believe it's an important thing to do.
