Since moving to the Far South Coast of NSW, I've had many people tell me that when the YTBC call, there will be rain. I've been told this during periods when they're calling regularly, even if there is no rain. Earlier in the year, there was a party of about a dozen in the area calling while "commuting" in the morning and evening every day for weeks. No rain. I suspect that many casual observers don't notice the calls unless they're quite nearby. I tend to run out of the house every time I hear them :) -------------------------------------------- Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org -------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message 'unsubscribe birding-aus' (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
