In the new draft plans for the WTP, it mentions opening the gates to Ryans Swamp during seasonal inundation. Has Ryans Swamp always been accessible to birdwatchers via Paradise Rd? If so, is someone able to tell me how to get to it with G2 key access? What are people general feelings about the proposed changes? Looks like general access birdwatchers are going to lose access to Barrow Pits, and the conservation lagoons, plus all the coastline between Little River and Werribee River. Peter Don't think I've seen this posted before.... Melbourne Water have issued a draft of new access arrangements proposed for the WTP. Comments are invited and need to be submitted by 4th April. This will affect access for existing birdwatching permit holders. The draft access plan and feedback form can be accessed at; http://www.melbournewater.com.au/system/mainFrameset.asp?path=/water_cycle/sewerage/western_treatment_plant/draft_access_plan.asp |
