Graham and all,
I have not really noticed a decline anywhere in NSW - most places where I
expect to see them they evenrtually turn (even if it is just very briefly
early in the morning or late at night). I don't do much birding in western
Sydney but certainly a little bit further west they are still present (and
still breeding in January). The usual spots around the Tweed this January
also seemed to have birds about as well.
Cheers,
Peter
I have recently realised that I have seen very few Bee eaters over the
last few years and am wondering if anyone else has noticed a decline? I
have to note that I haven't been to my regular spots to see these birds,
but they do have a tendency to turn up just about anywhere. Any comments
appreciated.
