One of these days I'll get the new 2003 survey results up on that
page. The last few months have been pretty tough - no time for FGS#3 -
hopefully soon ....... Alastair Smith and I haven't discussed it for
ages.
Your water resistance test just adds to the general perception that the
Slaters' book is the only real field guide amongst the various books
aspiring to that title. The others are all more like handbooks -
designed either for leaving in the car, or for being lugged by donkey
or sherpa .....
