Thanks Marion and Claire.
They are very different and this was definitely a Galah.
As we were approaching the group I thought that the white bird would be a
Little Corella as I have quite often seen one with agroup of Galahs. Several
times (maybe 3 or 4) I have noticed that the singleton Corella has had the same
call as the Galahs and I have assumed that it had been hatched/raised by a
Galah.
I was very surprised when it was white and pink and for a moment I thought that
it may have been a Major Mitchell but it had no crest and was Galah shaped. We
had not bothered to slow down and had to do a U-turn to go and examine it.
I did not notice the beak but its feet and eye appeared to be the same as the
normal Galahs it was with.
