Why? my deer fine feathered ice cream eating friend? and when you do revisit make sure you have your latest OH&S manual and you are wearing disposable see through gloves okay? as no one can gaurantee exactly what is in the dog food can or for that matter has been digested by a dog.

Does anyone disagree with Jill Dening's response to Phil Griffin?

If so please tell us why because I am about to have to revisit the dog issue along our foreshore.

I have only two points to add. First, this sort of approach almost always results in "compromises" which means that you have to be ready to offend unreasoning purists.

"TAKE NO PRISONERS!!" Why Mike? Laws are Laws and Health issues are Health issues? little young humans crawling on the warm sandy Oz
beaches can pick up and eat anything?

Second, every now and again you will have to re-educate the community.

Goes off to get teacher Mitred Mike a nice shiney apple.

New people (and dogs!) move in, sometimes creating new lobbies for "freedom", and some of your supporters - including bureaucrats and politicians - will move on.

So lack of pointing out how critical it is NOT to invade someones home is the main reason for apathy?
