    Can't speak for Swarovski, but my previous Zeiss 10x40s were usable,
although did need adjustment, after a Toyota rolled and came to rest on
those bins on the Old Halls Creek Road a few years ago.
    The current Zeiss 10x42s are probably even more rugged, but have't been
put to quite the same test. They have been dropped on stone and concrete
many times and the rubber armouring is scratched and abraded  from scraping
on rock faces, but the optics are still perfect. They are heavy, and should
be worn with a wide neckband to prevent damage to the nerves passing from
the neck into the shoulder and arm.
