Bayswater Bird Sanctuary is one of my favourites for waterbirds, particularly the Anseriformes. I recorded around 48 species in two weeks while creating a dichotomous key for the area. For bushbirds within easy transport reach around Perth, Kings Park of course and Pinneroo Valley in Padbury. Suspect sightings of Burdekin Duck here too. I'll be moving to my first place in the southern suburbs (Bibra Lake) in the next 6 months and I can't wait to have more regular access to the southern lakes!
