hi folks,

i've got a (male) superb fairy wren here whose behaviour is somewhat
baffling to me.

about 2 weeks ago, while sitting in my office (i work at home) i heard a
noise at the window. looking out i saw this wren flying from the ferns -
that are just a meter away - to the window. it landed on the window pane
(!), looked at his image, pecked on the pane, flew on to the sill. then
back to the fern, then back to the window.

the same wren also (still!) messes up our cars. it lands on the side
mirror, looks at his image, pecks at it, flies off, returns, etc....
(needless to say the side mirrors are an absolute mess!!).

any ideas that could explain this behaviour?

many thanks in advance,
andrea :)
ps.: btw, the woodies are doing fine. we've got two families now. 1 family
with 10 ducklings that are already a few weeks old, and 1 family with 4
ducklings that are only about 1 week old now. :)
